Douglas Co Rocks!

I had a great time at the Douglas County Library on Saturday- even cruising through Atlanta wasn’t too bad! If you haven’t seen the presentation “The Lunchbreak Novelist: Tips and Tricks When You are on a Time Budget,” I encourage you to reach out. I’m available for groups. I’m also considering doing an online event for my long-distance friends.

The best part of speaking to a small or mid-size group is I get to meet some wonderful people and hear their stories. I’m a writer. I love stories, but I’m also an encourager. I love being a cheerleader for new writers and I know how intimidating it can be when you are staring at a blank piece of paper. It’s even more intimidating when you are staring at a blank piece of paper and laundry needs washing, dinner needs cooking, and our precious babies need our attention. Not all of us can devote eight hours a day, or three hours a day to writing. If you can devote that amount of time, I’m sincerely happy for you and encourage you to fully use that blessing. Many of us don’t and some of us need a cheerleader to believe in what we are doing. That’s where I come in!

I’m giving a shout out to Tiffany, Chaka, and Rose as well as the staff from Douglas County Library for making my Saturday wonderful and I look forward to seeing your writing!
